You could say it all started about 20 years ago when Sean Belitsos started his own custom bike shop - DETROIT CUSTOM CHOPPERS - in Michigan. having come from managing his family's truckstop business since he was a teenager, Sean decided to set out on his own and pursue his passion as a builder and fabricator. He'd acquired skills as a welder and metal fab like so many other guys from the Motor City. His family work was "hands on" so he knew his way around rods and bikes and had always had the custom building bug. Jump ahead twenty years and a whole lot of custom builds and bullshit - we arrive in Henderson, Nevada, where Sean has been for the last year prepping and setting up the new shop - EMPIRE ENGINEERING. With his partners, Robert and Marcus, the shop is now working and no longer a work in progress. You'll be seeing what this guy and what this shop is capable of, so keep your eye on the magazines and on the road!
I.P. What can we say - he's been around awhile - he knows a lot of people. He's our wheel designer and good friends with Rampage Wheels, where you will see us at a lot of shows. He is detail oriented, and with him and his ride, everything has to be perfect! Jut check out his ride and you'll see what we mean - even the pics are perfect! I.P. is a guiding force and a design guy at heart - but beware - he ain't cheap!
Marcus is the guy behind the scenes. No particular skill, no particulr talent, just a law degree and love of bikes. The only reason he is on here is because he paid for the website and set up the password, so we had no choice. Don't ask him any technical questions and don't rely on anything he says, because it's probably wrong!
Sean is the shop's heart and soul. He is the full time fabricator and mechanic with full time responsibility for everything that happens at EMPIRE. Check out his builds in the PICZ section and give him a call for anything you need - he knows what he is doing and he'll tell you so.

We are an "APPOINTMENT ONLY" shop which means no walk-ins. Why? Because we are busy, there is a lot of shit to do, and if you are really interested in seeing our work and getting something done, then call and we'll talk. You should know us first anyway. If you walk in uninvited, we won't know who you are and it might get ugly. We are here to do our thing, not shoot the shit - so call and make an appointment so we aren't wasting anybody's time. If we had a sales staff or secretary or retail shop, then it would be a different story, but we are a custom build shop with all work done to order and on a schedule. Call first - THANKZ!

Here she is - our current project bike, a brand new 2010 Road Glide with 40 miles total on the motor. The "old" motor that is - because the new motor is a Jim's 131" This bike is going to blow your mind! Check back for specs on this project and new picz.
